Angle gathers generated with reverse time migration are often desired to increase the quality of imaging and velocity model building in complex geological structures. However, it is a technique that is computationally expensive and many simplified implementations available today are too inaccurate to be effective. AxRTM’s high efficiency angle gathers make velocity model updating with RTM a practical reality.
