AxFWI: An Innovative Full-Waveform Inversion Platform: Enabling Fast and Flexible Research

Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) is a technology which is moving into the mainstream. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how to invert seismic data to derive high resolution earth models by following an example inversion. An overview of AxFWI™, Acceleware’s customizable FWI modular platform will be shared.

AxRTM: Latest Advances in AxRTM for Higher Accuracy

AxRTM™ is Acceleware’s high performance Reverse Time Migration application. This presentation will highlight both new and existing features that make AxRTM a compelling choice: enhanced amplitude correctness, adaptive removal of low-frequency noise, and advanced grid features to reduce runtime while preserving image quality. Uniquely supporting multicore CPUs, NVIDIA GPUs and Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessors AxRTM is the most efficient RTM application on the market.

Acceleware Conference Session

ATrue-amplitude Layer-stripping Common-shot Acoustic RTM

Presented by Yilong Qin, Acceleware
June 3, 5:45pm Location: N101In the exploration of areas with complex salt bodies, such as the Gulf of Mexico, RTM is often run iteratively for testing different scenarios of the base of salt and scanning different sub-salt velocity models. However, RTM is still an expensive tool, especially for large 3D Tilted Transverse Isotropic (TTI) media. To speed up the iteration of RTM when the upper part of the velocity model is kept invariant an amplitude-preserved layer-stripping RTM was proposed.  Reduced computational cost and memory requirements are the results of this implementation.
