SEG 2015 – New Orleans, October 18-23

Exhibiting at SEG 2015 in New Orleans

Acceleware Booth at SEG 2015

This past month Acceleware attended the Society of Exploration Geophysicists’ 85th Annual Meeting and International Exposition in New Orleans, Louisiana. This show brought in over 8,000 professionals from 70 different countries, and Acceleware presented multiple in-booth talks about our advancements in seismic imaging software and high performance computing for the oil and gas industry.

Attendance was a bit lower than previous years, but the contacts made and information gathered deemed high quality, according to Acceleware’s CEO, Geoff Clark. “Despite clearly lighter traffic at this year’s SEG, we had a very successful exhibition, showcasing AxFWI and AxWAVE to several customers, updating everyone on new advancements in AxRTM, and catching up with our fantastic distribution partners.”

Presentations

The presentations are outlined below. If you missed them or you would like a copy, drop us an email at connect@acceleware.com

AxFWI - Build High Resolution Velocity Models Fast with New Full Waveform Inversion
AxFWI is Acceleware’s new Full Waveform Inversion (FWI) application. FWI is a technology which is quickly moving into the mainstream due to its ability to generate high resolution earth models. Attendees learned about this cutting-edge technology and its potential for better understanding of the subsurface.

AxWAVE – Generate Faster 3D Survey Design through GPU Enable Seismic Forward Modelling
AxWAVE is a high performance, finite difference seismic forward modelling application. It features high performance support for CPUs, GPUs, and Intel Xeon Phi. Attendees saw how to generate synthetic shot gathers and illumination to validate their survey before they shoot.

AxRTM – Image Accurately with High Quality, High Performance Reverse Time Migration
AxRTM is a full-featured, high-performance Reverse Time Migration application. The presentation displayed how to generate high quality depth images quickly on CPUs, GPUs, and Intel Xeon Phi.

Professional Services – Optimize Proprietary Geoscience Software with Expert High Performance Development
As experts in programming geoscience applications for multi-core CPUs and massively parallel GPUs, Acceleware’s development team works with clients to greatly improve application processing speed, analyze data which leads to better exploration and production decisions.
